Chairman of Sharjah's Economic Department, Trade and Tourism Sheikh Tariq Bin Faisal Al Qassimi has been presented the Bassel Fleihan Young Leaders Award in Lebanon.

The award was presented in the presence of high ranking political leaders including the Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Al Seniora and the Parliament Member Saad Al Hariri.

Receiving the award, Sheikh Tariq said Sharjah has one of the largest industrial production areas in the UAE, accounting for 48 per cent of the industrial GDP of the UAE. The emirate has 19 industrial areas. The emirate witnessed double digit growth in trade license issuances, in line with the country's economic growth ratios. This growth helped create new job opportunities and prosperity across the nation.
